Sankofa Soil is rooted in Gullah Geechee tradition and a belief that gardens can connect people to both the land and their heritage. What begin with my first high tunnel garden and a group of children discovering the joy of growing food has grown into a mission to carry forward the stories, practices, and wisdom of our elders, while fostering curiosity.

Providing raised bed vegetable gardens for elders throughout the Gullah Geechee Corridor, helping increase access to fresh food while offering garden guidance, and ongoing support. This project encourages wellness, self sufficiency, and a continued connection to the traditions of growing food at home.
